Fall Out Boy's "Beat It"
Okay I know this is dragging out the "Beat It" cover theme, but I just had to answer Heather. It's not about the artistic license. I'll give anyone kudos for that (umbrella - all time low) but I have to say that the cover by Fall Out Boy it wasn't great. Especially the video, and the group itself. I personally dislike the group very strongly because they're putting more of an emphasis on Pete Wentz because he is hot according to the public.
But they over did the cover in my opinion. BUT. I do agree with the fact that they did it originally, but they over did it and plus: Anyone who does a cover to a MJ song is going to be compared. It's inevitable.

My guilty pleasures are Miley Cyrus ('See You Again' is addictive, as many of you already know I'm sure!), Britney Spears, and of course, those darn Jonas Brothers! Gotta love their catchy songs!
Oh my I have TONS of guilty pleasures when it comes to music. This is a bit embarrassing but I love old stuff, 90's dance is one of my faves... I still love the Macarena

I also like the Hampsterdance song... I have the album!! Not too long ago I discovered Backseat Goodbye, and now I can't stop listening to them. Their music is really chill and laid back, perfect for the summer and hanging out. My favorite songs are "Technicolor Eyes" and "Summer Drive Song". Check them out =)
The Final Jo Bro's Comment (I Promise)
I was very annoyed reading the input on how the Jonas Brothers seem to just play along with the band to look cute. Well, they DO play.
The back up band is there for the BACKUP stuff, just like any other band. Most of the main (and totally AWESOME) guitar riffs that you hear come from Kevin, while Nick plays the piano. Joe sings...and the band is there for the unusual stuff that keeps the music to its beat. While the brothers do record their own music in the video, i'm sure it would be difficult to play ALL guitar riffs at once. Dont you think?
I think it's great how people have opinions, but the editor of this page seems to lean toward the anti-jobro side while saying everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Thats true and all, but i think before people start hating on the hottest band EVER, they should listen to every album, every song. Then you would understand.

Abby's comment: Hey...I totally didn't pick this topic to "diss" the Jonas Brothers. I love them just as much as the next girl, don't get me wrong. And if you think I was leaning toward the negative side, that was not all me. The majority of the opinions that were sent to me were negative, and I just put them all out there, to showcase every reader's thoughts. I chose this topic because I knew it would get people talking and exchanging ideas, because people's opinions are so opposite when it come to Jo Bros. If you are a major Jonas Brothers fan, please do not take this personally. It is merely opinions, not the end of the world. I think that the Jo Bros send a positive message to fans through the inspired words in their songs and even with the fact that they believe in saving sex for marriage. Now lets accept the comments that were made and move on to newer topics!

Hey! My name's Abby and I'm the columnist here at Music Mania! I am 17 years old and I love music. I play the violin and sing in chorus at school. My favorite bands right now are: Kerli, Lights, John Mayer, and The Veronicas. I love alternative and tecnho-type stuff, but I'll listen to anything you give me. My other hobbies include drawing faces, running track and cross country, the color green, romance novels, going to the lake, and fashion. And currently the love of my life is Paris (I visited last summer and I loved it)!
