Christie's comment: What a busy week for me! Two jobs, one more on the way and I still managed to find time to finish reading the Women's Murder Club series! I promise I'll have reviews of everything I've read soon - exactly when I can't tell you, but you'll get them soon! As for you guys, are you going through a reading drought or something? I'd love to know what you're reading, and there's no expectations of essays when it comes to reviews! Some of the best reviews I've ever seen on this page have been only a few sentences! So I hope to see what you've been reading, because although I personally have loads of books lined up, it never hurts for me to add more. Plus there's plenty of other readers you need to inspire!

What You've Been Reading!

Things I've Learned From The Women Who've Dumped Me

Author: Ben Karlin
Genre: Humor
Pages: 201-300
This book is written by a number of comedians, writers, musicians, and other public figures - all male. Each man wrote an essay, a paragraph, and in some cases drew pictures to tell their stories of failed relationships with women and what they learned from them.

If you've ever caught yourself wondering how a man's mind works, this book will definitely give you some humorous insight. It will answer the questions you never even thought to ask about men and relationships, and keep you laughing the whole way.

Leaving Dirty Jersey

Pages: 301-400
Wow. I read this book the other day and it's one that I think will stick with me all my life. It's a memoir a young man wrote after a year of meth and heroin addiction. It describes how he got into the meth and heroin, when he became addicted, when he started going insane, and finally, when he gets clean for good. The story starts basically with him going to rehab for heroin addiction at age 18. After graduating from rehab, he and a few people that he befriended while there move into a sober living home. His best friend decides to get into meth again, while he decides to try it for the first time. It gives you the exact step by step way that this drug affects people. How it starts out as fun, then moves into being every day, then multiple times a day, then insomnia due to you constantly needing to get high, and then hitting rock bottom and going insane. It was written incredibly well, you feel as if you are actually beside him the whole time that he's going through this. I'd suggest to anyone, especially teens, to read this. Note, it gets pretty graphic, so best for strong minded people.

Isn't it 6th Target by James Patterson? You have it as 6th Degree. Just wanted readers to know the right title... but it's another great book!

Hi Christie! Can you or anyone give me a link to or out right tell me a little bit about the Twilight series? (like a summary I guess, excluding the ending!) I am interested, but because I have a huge classics reading list for school, I want to know if the plot line would catch my interest. Thanks a bunch!
I give this book:   out of 5 stars! Brown Eyes, 15 from United States

Christie's comment: Well, I find it really hard to give an outline of the plot of Twilight without giving too much away! So I might put it to my lovely readers to help you out.

So, in 50 words or less, I want you all to describe the plot of Twilight without giving too much away. I know 50 words isn't much, but there's less used on the back of the novel, so I'm sure you can all do it!

The Columnist

G'day, I'm Christie and I reside in one of the most beautiful countries on earth, Australia! Life is pretty busy for me at the moment since I'm taking a year off from my degree and have ended up with three different jobs! But the aim is to earn as much money as possible for when I go back to uni, so that's pretty likely I think. Other than that I'll no doubt be trying to find time to do everything else I like doing!
